Penn Therapy & Fitness therapists can provide rehabilitation services to manage conditions related to spinal cord injuries including (but not limited to):
- Cerebral palsy
- Dual diagnosis of brain injury and spinal cord injury/disorder
- Neuromuscular or central nervous system disorders

Designed by physicians specializing in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine, our Spinal Cord Injury program treats patients who experience a number of conditions but often need combined physical, occupational or speech therapies. Penn Therapy & Fitness therapists collaborate with patients and their care team to effectively manage symptoms and maximize independence.
Your Penn Therapy & Fitness therapist will work with you to develop a rehabilitation plan that’s right for you, including:
- Bowel and bladder management
- Communication, cognitive and safety training
- Deep Brain Stimulator (DBS) management
- FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) for dysphagia patients
- Nutritional support
- Pain management
- Sports training/recreational activity assessment
- Seating and mobility clinic and skills training
