Esther Bae, PT, DPT
Esther Bae, PT, DPT is the site manager for The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP).
Esther Bae received her Bachelors degree in Health Science and Masters degree in Physical Therapy from the the University of Sciences in Philadelphia in 2002 and she received her DPT from Temple University in 2007. She completed a business management certificate from Temple University in 2010. Esther started her physical therapy career at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 2002. Since she joined the team, she has rotated through the acute care services and included a rotation at PCRC. Her clinical expertise on this floor as well as her contributions to the VAD program at HUP have transformed therapy provision from a specialty care to standard of care with this patient population.
Esther's operational contributions include her lead role in the Regulatory survey readiness, the mentorship program at HUP, onboarding and orientation, and scheduling. She has assisted with the financial planning for the department and the performance review process. She has also co-written "Obesity and gastric bypass surgeries" for Physical Therapy in Acute Care: A Clinician's Guide. Throughout the years, Esther has lectured and assisted with labs at local physical therapy schools.
