Each year, HAP honors hospitals and health systems for their innovation, creativity, and commitment to patient care through an annual Achievement Awards program. The primary goal of the program is to showcase and share member hospitals’ and health systems’ innovations and best practices in a variety of areas. HAP's Achievement Awards program aligns with HAP’s vision for a healthy Pennsylvania and reflects the goals of the Triple Aim. Award recipients will be selected in four categories and one distinguished entry will receive the Living the Vision Award:
- Community Champions
- Optimal Operations
- In Safe Hands
- Excellence in Care
Fourteen winning programs were selected from 127 entries this year. Entries were evaluated by a 16-judge panel. The panelists, drawn from Pennsylvania and across the nation, represented the public and private sectors, business organizations, consumer groups and renowned health care quality institutes. Winners will be recognized at an award ceremony on May 23 during HAP’s annual Leadership Summit.
