Lymphedema

Following cancer or other treatments to the lymphatic system, lymphedema, can cause swelling, and blockages in the soft tissues of the body. This accumulation of fluid is a life-altering condition affecting everything from patients’ ability to complete daily tasks to their self-image.

Penn Therapy & Fitness therapists can provide rehabilitation services to manage related conditions including (but not limited to):

  • Swelling
  • Heaviness and tightness
  • Aching and discomfort
  • Limited mobility
  • Infections

You will receive care from a Penn Therapy & Fitness Certified Lymphedema Therapists (CLT) who have attended programs recognized as the most advanced training available. Our team consists of qualified, experienced physical and occupational therapists who are all trained CLTs, and many of our therapists have further certification through the Lymphology Association of North America (LANA)—in fact, Penn Therapy & Fitness has the most LANA-certified therapists in the region.
